Different Versions Of Baccarat

Chemin De Fer Baccarat Version

It is a French word for railways. This version of baccarat is most popular in France. Chemin de fer in baccarat is played with six decks of cards. This version of baccarat is similar to punto banco with just a few exceptions like the player gets an option to be the bank and he also decides if the bank or player hand should draw a third card. Among all the players one player is the banker and he keeps on rotating around the table of baccarat. The player needs to call ‘banco’ if he wants to bet and no other player is allowed to wager unless all the bets made by the player is less than the bank other players can bet the amount that the banker has wagered.

Baccarat Banque Version

This version of baccarat is also known as “Baccarat à Deux Tableaux”. In this version, the player is meant to be the banker. Now which payer can be a banker, then most probably the player who bets the highest gets to be the banker, sometimes even the person who signs up first for the game can get to be the banker. In Baccarat Banque they have three decks of cards usually. And these three decks are shuffled very acutely, initially the croupier will shuffle the cards and then hand them to a player who is to his right, and then it is given to the player on the left to shuffle, and finally, the cards are given to the banker for one final shuffle. The banker is permanent in this version of baccarat he does not get shuffled. After the shuffling of cards the banker will deal three hands, one card to the player on his or her right, the second card to the player on the left and then a third card to him- or herself. He repeats the process so that three two-card hands have been dealt. In Baccarat Banque, banker plays against two Player Hands. Even here the player can claim and try to match the banker’s stake.

Ez Baccarat

This version of baccarat was invented by Francisco TJ Tejeda he was the former casino live dealer, marketing executive, and manager of one of the most successful baccarat rooms on the Las Vegas Strip (MGM Grand). In all the versions of baccarat 5% of the bet is given to the casino, this 5% commission every time they wager on the bank hand and it wins, this was quite irritating for the players hence this man invented that version of baccarat which does not make the player give away the 5% to the casino. This version of baccarat has 6-7 players and the rules are quite similar to other baccarat versions except for these few rules,

  • All winning bank hand wagers are paid at even money except when the three- card winning banker hand has a total of 7. When the latter occurs the bank hand is a push.
  • Because the 5% commission on winning bank hand wagers is eliminated, it makes the gameplay faster.
  • There are two side bets: dragon 7 and Panda 8.
